The Morning Peach - January 2025

Happy New Year!

It's a brand new year for The Fuzzy Forest which means this Morning Peach is extra special, or, you could say, sweet! Here's a recap of all the exciting things that happened for The Fuzzy Forest last year/our first year ever!

January

In January, we published our first book, "A Peachful Journey". After months of writing, illustrating, editing, and fine tuning, the woolies scrunched out into the world!

February-April

Although there were no "landmarks" for these months, many things were happening behind the scenes. We were creating our second story and finding ways to promote the books.

May

In May, our second book, "A Scrunch on the Moon", was published and progress on our third book began.

ree

June

In June, we wrote our first Morning Peach blog post, telling people about everything going on in The Fuzzy Forest. We also had our first pop-up event where we set up a table and got to talk to visitors all about the woolies. To finish off the month, we published our third book of the series, "The Fuzzathon."

July

As seen on TV, The Fuzzy Forest! We had the opportunity to go on live television with Fox Carolina and talk about three of our books. Zac spoke about his inspiration to create the series and our plans for the future as well as announce a new location to find the books. July was the month downtown Greenville store, Vintage Now Modern, allowed us to stock our books on their shelves. The series can still be found there today! We also attended our first festival, "The South Carolina Peach Festival," in Gaffney, SC. Despite the rainy event, the woolies loved seeing all the peaches. At the end of our busiest month yet, we published our fourth book, "Lake Fuzz Ness."

August

August was much slower than the month before and gave us time to publish our fifth book, "A Messy Mishap."

ree

September

In September, we created our first free products, coloring pages! Our plan is to continue adding activity pages so people can have woolies on their fridge and in their classroom for free. This month, we also set up outside of Vintage Now Modern, the store our books were in, to talk about them with visitors. We also published one of our most popular books in the series, "The Legend of Bigfuzz."

ree

October

This month we went out to Pumpkintown, SC for an indoor event called "Market at the Mill." We had six books with us for this event and got to talk to the many creative people vending around us. By the end of the month, we published book number seven, "Wooly on the Cob."

ree

November

We went back to our first pop-up location, M. Judson Booksellers, this time with five more books, for a second event. Just in time for the holidays, we published our first winter book, "The Festive Scrunch."

ree

December

December was one of our most exciting months as that's when we received our first ever plush! Seeing Wooly scrunch out of the books and into homes was so special for us. We took him, and our books, to a final event for the year "The Makers Market," and got to send our books home to be gifts under the tree. To finish out the year, we published one more book,  "The Perfect Gift," totaling nine for the year.

It was a great year for The Fuzzy Forest! We can't wait to see what this year has in store for the woolies!
